I specialize in working with youth and adults who experience symptoms of PTSD/trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, low self-esteem, behavioral issues, and relationship issues while utilizing modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), CBT, DBT, Animal Assisted Therapy, Play Therapy, and Sand Tray Therapy. It’s my top priority to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to process any thoughts and feelings and experiences, as well as I strive to be empathetic and genuine when working with my clients!

I work with children, adolescents, and adults. I believe in treating the whole person, and I work closely with other professionals as needed in order to help clients with difficulties in both mind (motivation, depression, stress management, anxiety, learning disabilities) and body (autoimmune disorders, chronic/complex pain, cancer). I am particularly interested in helping clients who are coping with multiple stressors (e.g., relationship problems, career issues, health concerns, trauma). I believe it is essential that each client's treatment strategy is tailored specifically to his or her needs, style of interaction, and ability to work toward specific goals.

I have worked extensively with couples, including pre-marital and marital, individuals, teens to address such issues depression, anxiety, anger, self-esteem, relationships, substance abuse, grief, stress. My approach is strength based, goal-oriented, and includes cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, strategic intervention and family systems. Additionally I am trained to conduct EMDR.

I graduated from Arizona State University in 2007 with a Masters in Social Work, and became licensed by the state of Arizona in September 2012. I have over 15 years of experience working with teenagers and young adults. My clients often come to me because of issues relating to anxiety, divorce, depression and or trauma. I am also happy to provide both support and education for those individuals diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. I enjoy advocating for proper emotional support but also resources for this increasing community.

Ashleigh is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, providing individual and family therapy with people of all ages. She specializes in working with young children 2-6 years old, as well as teens and young adults. She also provides supervision to associate therapists seeking independent licensure, as well as therapists looking to earn their Registered Play Therapist credentials. Her primarily styles of therapy are Client-Centered and Adlerian approaches.

As a marriage and family therapist I work with families to decrease chaos and create a more loving and understanding environment. This can be done with individuals, couples or families. My work centers on behavioral modification as well as cognitive restructuring. I am also a personal coach and provide career and management skill development for individuals and managerial staff. I have presented numerous workshops on motivational leadership, responsibility and integrity in today's workplace, time and stress management and transitions in life as well as in the job market.

Most personal struggles and relationship issues result from problems with the relationship with the self, rooted in relational injury experienced earlier in life. Therapy involves a dual process of understanding and healing the wounds we have experienced; and healing the relationship with the self.
