My practice is inspired by Person Centered Therapy and a diverse study of methods ranging from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance, Commitment, and strengths-based therapy. I believe that no two clients are the same, and that a practice must be an individualized collaboration based on mutual authenticity and honesty. I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families facing life's challenges: age and cultural transitions; relationship issues; work, school, and creativity blocks; eating disorders; sexuality and sexual orientation; infertility; and parenting. Having lived abroad for years (UK, France, Russia), I also have a deep respect for the meaning of cultural identity for all of us.

For my undergraduate degree, I moved from Central Jersey (Yes! It exists!) to South Jersey to attend Stockton University. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work with a Minor in Behavioral Neuroscience from Stockton, and then moved on to attend graduate school in Philadelphia. I received my Master of Social Work Degree with a clinical concentration from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice in May of 2020.

I began my career working with juveniles in residential treatment centers beginning in 1999 with A New Leaf, and eventually the U-Turn Foundation. While working with the U-Turn Foundation, I also provided outpatient counseling for at-risk youth in the Arizona Juvenile Superior Court system.

I have been a therapist since 1978. I taught undergraduate and graduate Psychology courses at Ottawa University (11 years) and Rio Salado College (17 years).I specialize in OCD and obsessive sexual behaviors but have treated nearly every type of client and diagnosis over the past four decades.
