Ms. Baughman has worked for the past seven years as the sex addition therapist at The Meadows, a world-renown inpatient treatment facility, assisting clients to discuss their trauma and addiction (process and substance) issues. Typically addicts will use sex as a way to belong, gain acceptance, approval from others, avoid stress, anxiety, and depression. Addiction also serves as a coping mechanism to medicate old wounds, emotions, and distorts reality.
