To me, counseling is a place to grow a relationship, to learn about what is going on, and to have a conversation to broaden self awareness without judgement. It can be about family, work, relationships, season of life and feeling stuck, frustrated, resentful, exhausted, or numb. It's most important to me that the environment feels safe and for us to think about how change and growth can happen, how to reframe and take control of the environment around them, and to find strength and confidence to take care of yourself.
There's no one way to help someone. I like to use different counseling techniques and modalities which depends on the person that I am with. I tend to integrate Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Solution focused therapy, Client centered therapy, and Psycho-education. I currently work with teens, and adults.
I am here for you. I'll meet you at where you're at and will challenge and encourage you so that we can get to where you want to be. It will take time, but you're not alone. I'm here to remind you that you matter too, and to never forget that there is a multitude of things that brought you here. We're in this together.
