My work often centers around folks who are experiencing grief or loss, healing from trauma, navigating life transitions, or experiencing relational challenges. My areas of specialty are neurodivergence ( autism, ADHD, etc.), gender exploration, BPD, and cPTSD, but I love working with folks who have diversity of life experiences. I offer a queer- trans- and ND-affirming space. I have familiarity with spiritual and religious trauma. I offer a sex-work affirming space as well. I bring a liberatory, decolonial, postmodern, and trauma-informed framework into my work. I support individual adults, kids, families, and couples.

I work with adults and teens who struggle with neurodiversity (ADHD, Autism) and complex trauma.
You've been doing talk therapy for years but still feel stuck, like a jagged rock deep inside you. You are either someone who was affected by big or acute traumatic events or had a lack of emotional needs met growing up. Or you are someone who feels like their brain has always worked a little differently (ADHD/ Autism)? Whether it's relationship problems, job issues, or just feeling overwhelmed and disorganized, sometimes it can feel like you just can’t get it right, despite tremendous effort. You're in the right place if you resonate! Together we can rewrite your story for a future that better reflects who you are and feel better.

I specialize in neuroaffirmative psychological testing for Autism/ADHD and enjoy training doctoral students on therapeutic assessments.
Between the impact of culture, sexual/gender identity, and neurodiversity, the world can be a complex place as you navigate life. As a bicultural psychologist, I understand how difficult and isolating it can feel when your family or society’s beliefs don’t align with yours. Together we'll explore what is genuinely important to you and overcome self-limiting beliefs and feelings of guilt or shame that may be blocking your path. We’ll work together to understand the reasons for unwanted recurring patterns in your life, helping you become “unstuck,” and create a life that feels more fulfilling and true to who you are.

My caseload comprised of individuals on the autism spectrum, as well as individuals that are seeking support in grief/loss.
Welcome! I'm so glad that you're here. If you've ever felt "stuck," or that you don't have a next step or a sense of direction, I hear you. Life can be extremely unpredictable, and it causes us to feel like we're not prepared or equipped to handle the ebbs and flows of life. Not only do we have present life events, but we also have our past experiences and extraneous factors that are on this walk with us. Let's work together to create a space free of judgment. You deserve a healing space and the chance to create one within yourself. We'll work on permitting ourselves to experience our feelings fully and completely.

Everyone deserves to feel balanced and deserves to have a safe space to let go and share. Nobody should ever feel alone or always have to be “the strong one”. I use an eclectic model- combining pieces of CBT, SFBT, EMDR and Mindfulness-Based Practices and customize them to fit the person in front of me. I am listening, taking it all in, and deciding which pieces may be of most help to you and your life. I specialize in working with creatives and neurodivergent humans. I go above and beyond to provide the best care for my clients free of judgement. (Only scheduling EMDR intensives and Autism/ADHD Assessments, or group signups).

I offer fully remote, high-quality, comprehensive psychological evaluations to adults, with a specialty in autism, giftedness, ADHD, dyslexia/dyscalculia, dysgraphia, sensory sensitivities, and complex trauma.
I started specializing in neurodivergence as soon as I realized that there were many others who have also struggled to understand who they are and be accepted in a neurotypical society. If like me, you have always felt different, and are now wondering about what makes you different, it may be time for a formal assessment. This is especially important if you are looking for neurodivergent-specific supports (e.g., therapy, couple's counseling, books), personalized recommendations (i.e., "what next?", at-home strategies), and accommodations at work/school.

Autism Therapists

What is the most effective treatment for autism?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has come to be considered the standard treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder, and research has confirmed its effectiveness for many children. Therapists trained in ABA techniques work with children (and their parents) on developing social skills, communication and learning abilities, and everyday habits of hygiene and grooming. The clinician will tailor their program to the child’s particular need but the overarching goal will be to help them advance as far as possible toward independence based on their level of symptoms and decrease the need for additional special services. Families should seek a mental health professional specifically trained in ABA, and holding special certification in the technique, who has extensive experience not only with the approach but in using it with children with the same level of symptoms as the child who needs care.

How does ABA work?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) sessions, which typically focus on positive reinforcement, can be intensive, lasting two or more hours several times a week, and continuing for two years or more. Therapists can also be expected to ask parents to take an active role in reinforcing lessons. Research has found that the technique can lead to major improvements that decrease the need for additional special services.

How does treatment for autism work?

Therapy sessions based on Applied Behavior Analysis will likely be frequent, intensive, and highly structured. After a thorough assessment, a therapist will help a child understand and develop skills in a range of areas, including communication, motor skills, social skills, self-care, play, and academic skills, as well as routines of daily living like hygiene. Typically, the therapist will help a child break down the components of a behavior—often referred to as the antecedent (what prompts an action), the behavior, and the consequence(what immediately follows)—and then reward the child at every step, while also asking parents to reinforce the lessons, and the rewards, throughout the day. This core therapy may be supplemented by occupational or speech therapy, and antidepressants, antipsychotics, and anticonvulsants may be prescribed to address specific severe symptoms.

How long does therapy for autism take?

Some people with autism spectrum disorder may be engaged in some level of therapy for many years, but research shows that treatment will be most effective if it is begun early and delivered intensively. When therapy begins by age 3, children tend to be better able to grasp and adopt the skills needed to manage everyday life, including attending school and establishing social relationships. This type of early-intervention treatment regimen is highly structured, typically involving 20 to 40 hours of one-on-one therapy per week, along with additional hours of engagement managed by parents, for a period of two years or more, although the duration of treatment is dependent on the child’s level of symptoms and pace of progress.
