As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and psychotherapist, my approach is a client-centered in order to provide a welcoming, collaborative and empathic environment for clients to gain skills to enjoy their life. I specialize in Radically Open DBT (RODBT), an evidenced-based treatment targeting over-control coping that is linked to social isolation, poor interpersonal functioning, hyper-perfectionism, rigidity, risk aversion, lack of emotional expression, and difficult to treat mental health problems such as obsessive compulsive disorder, restrictive eating disorders, and treatment resistant anxiety and/or depression.
I received my Masters in Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in Substance Use Disorders and Co-occurring Psychiatric Disorders studies. My clinical practicum included working with clients re-entering the workforce after the criminal justice system, trauma-focused training, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
During my clinical practicum at Seton Behavioral Mind Institute in Austin, Texas, I received specialized training in Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT), a treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Rigidity and Chronic Depression/Anxiety.

Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT) is a new evidence based treatment targeting a spectrum of disorders characterized by excessive self control, often referred to as overcontrol (OC). RODBT involves individual sessions and skills training classes, and centers around five OC themes: inhibited emotional expression; hyper-detailed focused and overly cautious behavior; rigid or rule-governed behavior; and high social comparison and envy/bitterness. This group will help the client become more comfortable in social settings, and build a more enjoyable life, where the individual is able to build more connection with themselves and with others.
