Dr. Ashton offers over 20 years of experience in treating the full spectrum of anxiety disorders, mild to severe. These include: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder with and without Agoraphobia, Emetophobia, Social Anxiety Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Specific Phobias such as fear of flying, needle and medical phobias, and paruresis (bashful bladder). She utilizes Exposure based therapy and exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) techniques & Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
As depression is often the result of anxiety wearing a person out and down, she also provides CBT treatment for depression. She is trained in Habit Reversal Therapy (HRT) to treat Trichotillomania.
Dr. Ashton also offers telepsychology for Texas residents outside of the Austin area.
