Hello! I am a New York State licensed Psychotherapist with over 21 years of experience. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to identify and reshape negative thoughts and unproductive behaviors or issues in a client's daily life. Many of my clients find it helpful to set goals together and break problems into small, manageable steps. I work in collaboration with my clients to achieve short term and long term goals.
I am warm, genuine, positive, and engaged. In session, I will build rapport with you, make sure I’m hearing what you’re communicating, and establish a therapeutic alliance. I’ll listen to your thoughts and feelings and reflect back what I notice to highlight opportunities for growth and facilitate behavioral change.
During our first session I'll ask about your symptoms and what brought you to therapy. We may cover your history, education, relationships, career, and current living situation, and agree on your goals and objectives.
