I am open to treating and working with anyone who recognizes they need help. Therapy is a journey of self-exploration and as long as you are open to traveling down that road then I am open to helping you explore it. The Ideal client just has to be willing to look themselves in the mirror and believe that change is a real thing. I have treated and worked with a variety of clients who present with varying issues and life stress. I have treated severe major mental health issues as well as everyday social problems.
My treatment methods are eclectic and are based on the needs of the client. Depending on the client it usually centers around individual or family treatment. My practice methods include; narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, CBT, BT just to name a few, and I tend to focus on empowerment and strength based interventions.
Knowing that I am capable to help someone better understand themselves is a gift. I think my best attribute which has been identified by my clients is that I am a genuine human being which has helped to foster the therapist/patient relationship. I am a person who happens to be a therapist.
