An effective therapist can help you overcome difficulties and enhance your life. I am Asya Rivinson, a licensed psychotherapist practicing in both New Jersey and New York. While I currently run my private practice in these states, my international experience enables me to effectively connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. My work as a therapist for almost two decades developed both my skills and my faith in the value of therapy. In my practice, I strive to be supportive, insight-driven, professional, and well-informed.
Instead of labeling you with a mental health diagnosis, I strive to understand you, your experiences, and how they affect your daily life. My focus is on helping clients increase their self-awareness, clarify and better understand their current challenges, and find new ways to overcome them.
I believe in each client’s uniqueness, and strive to tailor the treatment to meet my clients’ unique needs. In order to do so, I draw from several schools of thought including Psychoanalysis, CBT, Gestalt, and others. I have a special interest in working with women who suffer from anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship problems, mood swings and depression.
