ASPIRE supports adolescent emotional wellness by taking a holistic treatment approach incorporating education, training and active participation from teens and their families. Adolescence is a time of profound growth and change. While one’s brain is still developing, challenges in school and interpersonal relationships can result in significant emotional distress leading to difficulties in normal daily functioning. ASPIRE helps teens navigate issues that are commonly present during this stage of life, such as family conflict, low self-esteem, ineffective communication, and symptoms of anxiety and depression.
ASPIRE provides a structured and supportive environment that will teach and train healthy behaviors with a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) foundation. Teens will learn how to effectively tolerate distress, regulate emotions, improve interpersonal skills, and incorporate mindfulness to improve overall wellbeing.
ASPIRE’s after-school program allows families to maintain their work and school schedules while also participating in a structured treatment environment. Teens are taught skills in small, interactive groups, where they practice applying what they have learned through art and other skill-building activities. We look forward to working with your family.
