During therapy, I challenge clients through open and active dialogue and observations. At times, I also find a hugely important part of my work involves helping clients accept what they cannot change to free themselves from being stuck in the past.
I work primarily with individual adults. My areas of specialty include relationship issues, fertility challenges, and life transitions — family planning, adjusting to parenthood, job changes, recent moves, aging parents, existential questions. I also have a great deal of experience working with individuals struggling with depression and anxiety.
I have trained in a variety of settings ranging from an inpatient psychiatric hospital to college counseling centers. My post-doctoral training included running a suicide prevention project for young adults and my dissertation explored how to work ethically with couples. I look forward to hearing from you.
