I'm here to provide the support and skills to help you overcome and prevail. There is strength in vulnerability! I believe in supporting the whole person and implementing interventions based on unique and individual needs.
My approach merges systems theory with solution-focused theory, and I am trained in eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). I provide direct counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and aging populations.
As a professor at a local university and trauma researcher, I remain current on research and interventions for marginalized populations and prioritize culturally competent care. Most importantly, I value the therapeutic relationship and work to provide optimal support for my clients and ensure they feel valued and safe in the therapeutic space.
