I enjoy working with clients, their family, and support system in exercising autonomy to choose what is best for them. I believe you can adapt to meet the need of your season without losing the essence of what makes you, you.
I view clients through a systemic lens, highlighting the importance of context in understanding concerns, forces of influence, and formulating therapeutic goals. My theoretical approaches include family systems theory, narrative therapy, relational cultural therapy, person-centered counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, and structural family therapy.
I am an LPC and LMFT, and my education includes a BA in Psychology from Baylor University, an MA in Counseling with a Concentration in Marriage, Couples, Family Counseling from Sam Houston State University, and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
