As a Public Health Social Worker, I've worked with children, adolescents and adults in various settings addressing physical health as well as mental and behavioral health. I am passionate about empowering clients to make the changes they seek to improve their well-being. Whether you are managing on-going mental health challenges, general life stressors or just need someone to help you navigate a change, I would be happy to help you to get there.
As an advanced trainer in the Nurtured Heart Approach, I often utilize a strengths-based approach to help parents and families. I do lean more on skills-based treatment; however, I believe in tailoring interventions to best fit the individual client so I will often infuse mindfulness, CBT or DBT, and solution-focused modalities.
I like to create a safe space for my clients to share what they are struggling with. I prioritize getting to know clients so that we can collaborate successfully in creating realistic goals together. Then sessions typically begin with a general check-in, move into goal setting or skills work and will create a sense of continuity from week to week.
