Hi! My name is Ashley and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker, passion-purposed in helping individuals who have dealt with life on their own but need a little support in moving from surviving to thriving. I help people who understand their desire of wanting to improve their health and outlook on life, but may need guidance on where to start. Most importantly, I help normalize negative feelings &where a person currently is, while providing the tools to find empowerment &healing. While I want everyone to succeed, I am passionate about decreasing the gap in accessibility to mental health services for Black & marginalized communities.
I believe we are the experts of our lives so I enjoy leading with a person-centered approach and base my practice in CBT and Motivational Interviewing. As a creative and a therapist with a therapist, I believe we can incorporate techniques such as journaling, music, and art to assist us in our journey of learning how to process and feel our feelings.
My goal and hope is to create a safe space of empathy, compassion, and empowerment to better equip individuals in their own healing journey with evidence-based tools and knowledge. I am under the supervision of Robin Johnson at Flourish Sanctuary
