My name is Ashley Bila Bar-Zion, but my preferred name is Bila (ASW 118055) I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree Social Work with a focus in Integrated Health and Political Science. I have worked in a variety of settings with children within the foster care system, engagement services with people who are unhoused, at a social justice organization, and provided therapy and case management in Southern California.
My focus is on Psychodynamic therapy from a trauma-informed lens. I have experience treating adolescents and adults in individual and group settings and have worked with individuals who experienced grief and loss, depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts, self-esteem and domestic violence.
My ultimate goal is to empower others to create meaningful change in their life. A strong therapeutic relationship and genuine connection can have a powerful healing effect on our previously damaging relationships and experiences; I believe that curiosity about ourselves and our experiences is a central part of the therapeutic process.
