I view clients as experts of their own experience and it is my role to provide support and facilitate growth. Therapy is a collaborative process in which we work together to identify existing strengths as well as learn new skills to help you effectively cope with life’s inevitable challenges. I work with concerns such as self-esteem, relationships, social skills, assertiveness/boundary-setting, perfectionism, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, and insomnia.
Treatment is tailored to each client by integrating methodologies that best meet each client’s goals and build upon their personal strengths. I work to help clients cultivate new skills and resources. Once these new skills are learned, clients can use them for the rest of their life, long after therapy has ended.
Therapy also addresses the many external factors that affect mental health, including professional and academic stress, systemic inequalities, social messages, and relationships. I am committed to providing high quality and affirming mental health services to clients of diverse backgrounds, identities, and situations.
