Therapy is challenging yet rewarding work and I am here to help my clients navigate their way through that that work. I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor specializing in trauma-informed care. I have experience working with teens and adults from all walks of life. I provide specialized care for military and their families, first responders, domestic violence victims, LGBTQIA+, and all trauma survivors. As a member of a military family, I am dedicated to working with this community on healing family dysfunction, stress and anger management, separation adjustment, and combat trauma.
I am passionate about my work with the LGBTQIA+ community with a special interest in the intersection between this population and eating disorders, trauma, and childhood experiences. I specialize in working with survivors of emotional, physical, financial, and sexual abuse/neglect through my compassionate person-centered approach.
I also like to integrate mindfulness into my use of TF-CBT to help clients feel in control of their experiences. I believe that mind body connection is the key to healing from past traumas and learning successful coping skills.
