Trauma can sweep you up into a torrent of emotions and hypervigilance, leaving you feeling isolated and unable to relate to others. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have meaningful conversations and walk with my clients through hard times toward healing. I offer accessible skills to cope that allow clients to feel improvement early in the therapeutic process. Understanding each client is different, my therapeutic approach meets each client where they are, specific to their needs. I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion while utilizing a trauma-informed approach. Care throughout this process is holistic.
My 7 years of counseling have been diverse, from community mental health to the school system. Throughout these different settings, I continued to encounter many individuals with trauma experiences. In turn, I have helped individuals cope with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, military-related issues, family issues, aging, and addiction issues.
In the first sessions, we will collaborate to develop a personalized treatment plan. In subsequent sessions, dialog will be tailored to address the goals set and offer skills to implement. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change and healing. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
