Hello! My name is Asha Wilburn, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Los Angeles, California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I believe in a collaborative client-centered approach to therapy to allow clients to have an active role in the therapeutic journey. I have experience treating adolescents, young adults, and early middle age adults in areas of anxiety, depression, life transitions, mood disorders, interpersonal and family conflict, work stress, body image, and trauma.
My therapeutic style is a strength-based integrative approach that is uniquely developed for each client. Some of my common modalities include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Humanistic, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.
My communication style is calm, personable, and supportive. I provide honest feedback and will often suggest outside tasks/assignments to ensure clients can practice skills learned in therapy and track progress toward goals. I pride myself on building rapport with my clients and providing a non-judgmental and safe space for them to process.
