If you want to feel better about yourself and work towards a happier and healthier life, I’m here to help you. In more than twenty years, since training at Columbia University, I've worked at world-renowned hospitals and in private practice helping thousands of people successfully overcome anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, compulsive overeating, grief, and move on to live fuller, more rewarding lives.
Given my lengthy experience I use a variety of effective techniques including supportive psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, communications work and assertiveness training. I've developed seminars for laypeople and training programs for professionals that explained or utilized all of these forms of treatment.
I believe in strength-oriented solution-focused psychotherapy which helps clients utilize their strengths to work out better ways of coping, communicating and living their lives. My work is usually relatively short-term (months not years) as my goal is to help clients learn to cope successfully without me!
