The connection between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors can profoundly shape our experiences and responses—sometimes leading us to feel overwhelmed and stuck. If you find yourself in a season of mental exhaustion due to unproductive thought patterns holding you back from fully engaging in life, pursuing opportunities, or nurturing your relationships, please know that there is hope, and change is possible! As an LPC with over a decade of experience, I am dedicated to supporting individuals struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, perinatal mental health, life transitions, and the establishment of healthy boundaries.

I believe we all need different levels of support at different times in our lives. I provide individual and family counseling. I'm open minded and provide a judgement free environment! Therapy isn't meant for forever, it's meant to support you during the rough patches, to develop coping skills, and it's to process your experiences to best utilize those coping skills.

I work with individuals who have experienced relational trauma and dysfunctional family systems. These experiences can range from emotional neglect in childhood to domestic abuse in a relationship. Often, individuals with these experiences struggle with asking for what they want, sharing how they are feeling, and saying no. They may find themselves doing anything they can to escape the present moment, whether that be chronic busyness or binging your favorite TV show. They struggle with maintaining healthy relationships, either from attaching too quickly or not attaching at all. Sometimes, their relationship just doesn't feel right.

Depression, anxiety, and a sense of being stuck in the 'same old thing' are common themes. Marital is my post masters training area of emphasis. I also offer courses for premarital and co-parenting. Military, Police, First-Responders, Veterans, and their families are populations I specifically want to support. To do this I practice an evidenced based trauma therapy called EMDR that uses the body's built-in processes for digesting maladaptive information.

Trauma impacts us all. Some of us carry trauma from our childhood days, others serve our communities and country in vocations that inevitably hold high trauma impact, and yet others simply live day in and day out in todays culture of high expectations towards performance and low expectations on self. Any of these things can be traumatic enough. The good news is that there is a science behind trauma, and an even more specific science behind first responder/military trauma impact. All of the symptoms that often times show themselves from trauma are treatable.

Have you ever wished life was different? Often, people go through life pretending things are “ok.” In reality, everyone experiences problems. Often, we are afraid to share them with others. We're afraid of their response. You don't have to do it alone anymore. No matter the problem you are facing... depression, anxiety, trauma, loneliness... I believe together we can take steps to create a better life for you. I believe big changes are made by taking small, consistent steps. I believe a strong, collaborative, therapeutic relationship helps those I work with to explore what is holding them back, while we work toward change.
