I commit to providing compassion where there is judgement, encouragement where there is despair, and new insight where there is confusion. I work with many types of clients, at all stages of development, struggling with a multitude of difficulties in life. I cannot define one symptom/diagnosis which I enjoy working with most, because I find the symptoms to be a minuscule matter. They are parts communicating underlying needs in search of support. I really enjoy working with clients of trauma histories, attachment wounds, personality disorders, chronic symptoms of dissociation, anxiety, depression, anger, and addiction.
I provide a therapy grounded in sound, principle-based understanding of the person and their struggles. I utilize Classical Adlerian Depth Psychotherapy, EMDR, Parts Work, and ACT for individuals, couples, and families. Just as a tree has roots, so too do our symptoms. Instead of hacking at the leaves of the symptoms, we dig to the roots sustaining them.
We all are simply trying to make it in this world - something which proves to be an exceptionally challenging task!
