A firm believer in solution-focused, strengths-based, and action-oriented therapeutic approaches, Arika Adams, LCSW, has had over a decade of working with children and families who have experienced trauma, including significant work with adoptive families - particularly those adopting older children - and families struggling with addiction.
After your first session, my hope is that you will feel like you have been heard and feel empowered - and like you have a partner in this journey. I am solution-focused and strengths-based, trained in EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
My biggest strength is helping you feel heard, without judgement or criticism. You likely have more than enough of that in your life. Our time together is a safe space to find encouragement, to vent, to share heartache, and know someone cares.
