Hello! I’ve worked as a licensed counselor since 2017, with previous experience as a social worker. My focus is working with adults who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depressive symptoms, relational difficulties, family issues, substance use, and severe mental illnesses. My theoretical orientation is an integration of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Behavioral Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Mindfulness. I have learned that no two people are the same and that everyone must be treated individually and holistically.
My communication style is supportive and compassionate. I will listen carefully, provide empathy and support, and reflect on the themes and emotions that come up. Goal setting is essential, and during a session, you can expect to discuss both long and short-term goals and progress. I want to help you navigate life with more confidence, and support.
Starting therapy can be intimidating for many. Our first session will consist of a conversation where we’ll get to know each other. We will do a comprehensive clinical assessment, which may involve forming a potential diagnosis and discussing what a possible treatment plan would look like.
