I help people who feel overwhelmed or trapped by the hard and heavy things in their lives find a way forward. I strive to provide a safe place and safe relationship for clients to talk about challenges, process thoughts and feelings, explore solutions, practice skills, and develop confidence to effect change within their own lives. My desire is to join clients on their journey, offering compassion and support as they determine their own needs and solutions. I combine person-centered therapy with evidence based techniques and interventions to help patients find hope and healing.

An ideal client is a 6-18 year-old who is struggling with depression, ADHD, social skills, anxiety, and family communication. This age can be challenging as children navigate their emotions/relationships. With a compassionate and person-centered approach, I aim to create a supportive environment where the client can express their feelings, develop effective communication skills, and build resilience. Together, we will work on identifying and addressing the underlying causes of their struggles, while equipping them with tools and strategies to manage their emotions and improve their overall well-being.

My goal when working with individuals is to provide support as individuals find their own hopeful path and voice. Sometimes we get in a downward spiral or stuck in places where we are not fulfilled or content. I hope to facilitate and encourage your own strengths and passions towards feeling better. Additionally, I have worked with children and adolescents who are struggling with anxiety, stress, and depression. This phase of life can be quite difficult, particularly if you are struggling with peers or a mental health issue. Lastly, I enjoy working with young and LBGTQ+ adults as they navigate challenges and/or relationship issues.

I was born and raised in Southeast Asia and then moved to the United States, which has opened me up to many perspectives, cultures, walk of life, experiences, etc., as this encompasses civilian and the armed forces lifestyle. I specialize in Equine Therapy as well as traditional office psychotherapy. I take a mindfulness approach to "holding space" for my clients. I also recently completed an externship and Core Skills in Emotion Focused Therapy which allows me to do some pretty tough work with couples seeking joint therapy. I am also undergoing supervision for Trauma Focused CBT.

I provide services to both children and adults including individual and group therapy, and assessments including ADHD, Autism, pre-surgery Bariatric testing, intelligence and achievement testing, dyslexia testing, and personality inventories. I will provide a safe space for you to explore who you are, discover your strengths, and use those strengths to better manage your struggles and focus on the meaningful parts of your life.

I am passionate about supporting all stages of life. I am a birth and death doula with years of experience in the medical field supporting people through grief, infant loss, medical trauma, new diagnoses or end of life care. I feel privileged to witness the vulnerability of the postpartum period and love supporting parents through normal ups and downs or postpartum depression and mood disorders. Other experience includes adoption and foster care, working with people living with HIV, people who use drugs and survivors of sexual violence. As a member of the LGBTQIA community, I proudly serve individuals and families of all identities.

I enjoy providing individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. I treat a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, mood disturbance, psychosis, trauma, grief and loss, eating disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideations, and impulse control problems. I provide a therapeutic atmosphere that is compassionate, empathetic and confidential. I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy adapting to the specific needs of the individuals I serve.

I use an integrated approach to provide individual counseling and play therapy services to adults and children. I am interested in aiding clients who deal with difficulties surrounding divorce, daily stressors, relationship issues, anxiety and depression. I intend to focus on working with children and families attempting to readjust to the rules and roles of the new family structure that can surface. I will provide a safe environment where clients can work collaboratively with me to identify concerns and process them. I will help clients use this new awareness to determine effective coping and communication skills.
