Presession Change is change that takes place when you reach out for help and before initiation of counseling. As licensed counselor in the state of Idaho for nearly 25 years, I am a competent clinician able to assist you with facing life's challenges. I integrate faith and spirituality into treatment; yet, from a non-judgmental manner. I also encourage a "client-driven" approach, while eventually "working myself" out of the job of your counselor. I am a Veteran of the US Air Force, retiring in September of 1994. I have treated clients from the age of 3 to 97. I look forward to assisting you as your aid and guide.

I have treated a wide range of problems; including, treated for depression, anxiety, addiction, grief/loss, and trauma. I treat individuals, families, couples, and teens. Presently, I offer services via telehealth. Predominantly, I approach treatment from a Cognitive Behavioral perspective, although I am well-versed in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

I believe that I have the skills to help most anyone face what life has thrown them. I have faced my own struggles and truly desire to "come alongside" you. If I can't help you, I am ethically bound to refer you for help. "Aphiemi," found in my business name is Greek for "Forgive" or "Let It Go." In a sea of "helpers" out there, please consider me.
