I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from Norfolk State University (VA) in 2015. I have been in the mental health field since 2009 working with foster children, families, couples, elderly/disabled population, and veterans. My areas of expertise are trauma/abuse/neglect, couple and family dynamics, parent and child relationships (behaviors), while focusing on substance abuse, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and much more.
How Can I HELP-> I will assist in helping you heal from past traumas that have impacted your activities of daily living and how you respond to different situations. I will help you become a better version of yourself. In the AA community, we don't always see social workers or therapists who "look like us". I am hear to help my community of people feel heard.
From my own lived experiences, I've witnessed the impact that social workers and social service programs have on the community. Seeing the responses from the community intrigued me. I am happy that with the proper education and training, I am now able to provide families with the proper tools to navigate through traumatic situations that impact their lives.
