I have worked as a Licensed Psychologist for many years, in private practice, psychiatric hospitals, and residential treatment centers. I have been a teacher of special needs children, college students, and psychiatry residents; and I supervise psychotherapists. I work with individuals of any age, families, and couples. My approach is generally client centered psychodynamic psychotherapy.
Most people feel comfortable with me rather quickly. I know from research and my personal experience that the "match" between the client and the therapist is the most important factor regarding effectiveness of treatment. I suggest that clients trust themselves early on as they decide whether or not they would like to continue work with me.
