My educational background includes an MA in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, a PhD in psychology from Georgetown University, an MA in Theology and Pastoral Counseling from DeSales Graduate School of Theology, a post-doctoral MS in clinical psychopharmacology from Alliant University. I have completed an internship at Bellevue Hospital in NYC and a post-doctoral institute on the psychology of trauma from the Maryland Psychological Association. I am also certified in biofeedback and apply its use in the areas of psychological trauma and sports psychology.
As a clinical forensic psychologist, I consult in areas involving psychology and the law. With a background in clinical and forensic psychology and in law enforcement, my focus in both therapy and consultations is trauma related to physical and emotional abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder within the law enforcement community.
Background includes advanced degrees in forensic psychology with experience working within the law enforcement. Retired from FBI's Behavioral Science Unit after 20 years, I consulted in various cases, taught courses in investigative psychology and was involved in research that examined suicide by cop, violent behavior, psychological evaluation of crime scenes, and psychology of interview.
