For two decades I have been working closely with adolescents in diverse settings – from counseling troubled youth in wilderness camps to guiding them as a youth pastor. We all have a life story and, throughout life, we have been emotionally wounded or disappointed in one way or another and have adopted particular unhealthy coping mechanisms. The biggest struggle is minimizing our past and not getting help that we can't do alone, so the first question is are you worth it? The struggle was the same for my story.
I believe that true change comes from the heart and isn't just a series of self-help mechanisms. My approach is from a Christian perspective, but feel strongly about meeting my clients in the midst of their issues, not having an agenda myself, and therefore see clients of all beliefs.

Legacy River Trips
Legacy River Trips facilitates father-son canoe trips that are spiritual and relational traveling down the Suwannee River in Florida. Our desire is to deepen, or begin, a relationship between fathers and sons. Along the way, both fathers and sons will learn about masculinity from a Christian perspective and how to live out of that role. At the end of the trip, we will facilitate an opportunity for each father to publicly bless his son to affirm his strength of character, integrity, and purpose God has created for his life. We are now doing weekend trips for boys 8-11.
