I am a trauma-informed, Licensed Social Worker who takes a flexible, strengths-based, and solution focused approach with clients. I work to build rapport and establish a genuine connection to make sessions as comfortable and casual as possible. With a special interest in working with teens and young adults, I pull therapeutic techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing. I like to pull parts of EMDR when working with trauma and other presentations. I can also utilize solely EMDR for any client looking for those services.
My clinical experience extends to working with individuals and families experiencing relationship issues, interpersonal violence, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I completed my Bachelors of Social Work at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and my Masters at the University of Illinois Chicago.
