Hello and welcome! I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working in a small practice in Auburn. In addition to being an Associate Therapist, I am also a Registered Nurse, a Certified Forest Therapy Guide, and a Poetry Therapy facilitator. I draw upon the energy and skills of all of these healing practices in order to offer clients a wide variety of perspectives and experiences. My approach to therapy is warm and down-to-earth. I believe that therapy is, at its core, a conversation that can open our hearts. Through this conversation we create a relationship that has the potential to inspire growth, insight, and change.
I work with teens, adults of all ages, and couples on issues related to life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, anxiety, grief, and all of the existential concerns that shape our well-being and quest for meaning and connection. I also specialize in coping with acute and chronic illness and physical pain.
As an RN for over 11 years I have experience working with individuals and caregivers navigating medical issues including the grief, trauma, and possibilities for growth that accompany diagnoses, treatment, and post-treatment. I know from professional and personal experience how illness and pain can affect our lives and families in profound ways.
