I work with children and families experiencing a wide variety of difficulties such as emotional regulation, social and emotional issues, low self esteem, ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and attachment issues. Rooted in psychological research of child brain development, I use playful therapy to strengthen the connection between brain and body, helping children learn to regulate their bodies and emotions while engaging their interest and enjoyment. I work from a strengths based perspective to nurture each child’s unique personality and gifts.
I understands that a child’s success is significantly influenced by the relationship they have with their caregivers. I offer a collaborative approach to therapy with caregivers and siblings. Ongoing support is offered to caregivers during and outside of session to ensure they feel empowered to help their child.
Being a parent is hard, and trying to find help for a child that is struggling can feel daunting. I will work with you to help your child and to lead them on a path to being a well functioning, emotionally regulated person. I also work closely with you to ensure that you feel confident to help your child along the way.
