Hi, I'm Annie, an outpatient therapist at Rooted Counseling Services. I enjoy working with adolescents 15+ and adults. My priorities include making my clients feel heard, safe, and comfortable so they can be successful in therapy. I have experience working in partial hospitalization programs, in-home family therapy, and outpatient therapy.
My expertise includes working with people who suffer from anxiety, trauma, grief, and chronic health conditions. I find it's important to help individuals gain the skills needed to better themselves, utilizing multiple approaches, such as, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, strength based, and cognitive behavioral techniques
I utilize mindfulness based approaches with traditional therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy to personalize each session. My goal is for therapy to be a safe space to talk and unravel thoughts and emotions.
