I hold an MA in Educational Psychology specializing in Mental Health Counseling, and am licensed as an LPC, MHSP in Tennessee. I am also an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) for those taking a path toward LPC, MHSP. There are many different therapies, just as there are many different types of individual issues. Therefore, I work with many; however, I believe CBT, DBT, person-centered, and compassion-focused therapies are particularly helpful, especially for those struggling with grief, trauma, behavioral, and long-unaddressed issues.
I have provided services as a crisis specialist, psychiatric hospital for mental health and substance abuse, in-treatment addiction, and in-school therapy for children and teens. As a breast cancer survivor, I also work to support cancer patients, survivors, and their families' journey through shock, grief, death, and life.
Life challenges such as moving, relationships, new schools, job, and family life can take a toll on us. I value each individual's point-of-view, and work with you to challenge negative perceptions or behavior patterns we discover along the way. I will work to help you make a positive difference toward making long-term, meaningful life changes.
