My name is Dr. Annecy Baez. I have been practicing psychotherapy for more than thirty years, providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and their families. I specialize in Focusing and Schema Therapy, and I blend these with Internal Family Systems and ACT as needed. My work is deeply rooted in body centered and mindfulness-based approaches emphasizing mindful awareness of inner experiences. My approach is client centered and collaborative. In addition, I also focus on the exploration of meaning, and purpose and the pursuit of authenticity. My approach encourages personal growth and connection to life inherent values.
With couples, I use the Prepare-Enrich online inventory (40-60 min) in English and Spanish. A Prepare-Enrich program is a useful tool for premarital, cohabitating, and married couples to identify areas of strength. I trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and Gottman. I also use the Gottman Connect as needed Psicoterapia en Español.
With mindfulness and acceptance, I provide a safe and compassionate environment, free of judgment where you can share openly and honestly.
