Psychoanalytic therapy is a type of therapy that allows one to look at their own painful patterns of living and then change the patterns that they feel stuck in. The individual in a psychoanalytically informed therapy works as a partner with their therapist. Together we pay careful attention to the interactions of personal and interpersonal experience, of past and present, of body and mind, of fantasy and reality. It is expected that this process will bring about great change in the individual's life.
I practice Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and hold a doctorate in Psychoanalysis. My extensive training allows me to have a deeper understanding of the issues underlying our common struggles. In therapy we are able to resolve these issues and work toward internal healing.
