Life is full of challenges. Every day can bring obstacles to face. Add in dealing with anxiety, depression, low self esteem, adjustment disorders, or grief, and life may feel unmanageable. I have worked with children, teens and adults in inpatient crisis stabilization and outpatient settings. I have experience with Major Depressive Disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I have experience in behavior, peer issues, self-harm, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and conduct disorders.
I have professional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). My therapy approach is a combination of person-centered and solution-focused. I believe clients have the resources within themselves to change their self-concept and attitudes but may need assistance how to go about it.
