I specialize in individuals seeking care for trauma, anxiety, and depression related concerns. While I have experience with adolescents, I have focused the last several years of my work with adults to process their complex trauma and work towards helping the individual enjoy their life again. This work includes accepting the reality of situations and reframing cognitive distortions about events.
I offer CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) in addition to my CBT and strength-based approaches to assist the client in the changes they seek, which prompted them to make an appointment. Coping skills are introduced very early in our work together, so that the client has something to incorporate outside of sessions and report on effectiveness each week.
Therapy is learning to be comfortable in the uncomfortable. I encourage you to ask questions if this is your first time, and to inform me of past techniques that worked well for you. My goal is to help you be the best you, and participate in life all the ways it brings you joy and happiness.
