Deciding to start counseling is a big decision. I understand that success in therapy depends on finding a competent clinician who will provide a safe and affirming environment where you are able to explore yourself openly and meet your treatment goals. My approach is warm, interactive, and non-judgmental. I help people develop their personal insight, self-esteem, motivation, and identify coping skills that meet their specific needs. I specialize in working with couples and individuals, including children and adolescents, who are navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, transitions, and relationship difficulties.
I am trained in relationships and personality disorders and help people develop awareness and regain a sense of self after trauma from emotional mistreatment. I also have experience in foster care and transition-to-adoption services, parent-child relationship strengthening, as well as providing grief, loss, and resilience counseling.
