I come from a strengths-based, solution-focused, somatic perspective, using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and a wee bit of humor, when appropriate, to help you find new ways of thinking that get you nearer to who and how you want to be. I am a big believer that you already have everything you need within you, we just need to figure out how to reorganize what you already know to be true.
I enjoy working with clients who have experiences with trauma, anxiety, panic, anger, and fear, witnessing movement away from old ways of thinking/behaving to new ways that work better for them. I also work with clients wanting to shift relationship patterns, move through significant life changes, learn self-reliance, explore identity, and self-awareness.
I was trained in EMDR in 2011 and successfully use it with the majority of my clients, often incorporating the Trauma Resiliency Model and other body-based interventions.
