My ideal client is someone who has an idea of where they want to be but needs a little help to get there. I believe that the therapeutic journey is about understanding a person's life experience in order to help them reach their full potential. Developing a trusting relationship is a very important aspect in creating change. And whether these changes are small or large in scale, they can have a profound impact on someone's life. I like to be able to support and guide clients as they work on those changes.
I have over 23 years clinical experience working with adolescents & adults that are struggling with sadness, anxiety, depression and grief/loss. I have a particular interest in working with individuals working through life transitions and those dealing with infertility and/or relationship pain. I enjoy helping clients to increase coping strategies.
Therapy is unique for each individual. Because of this, I have experience with many different therapeutic interventions (including CBT, EMDR and solution-focused therapy) to help create a treatment environment that meets each client's needs. I hope to offer a safe and nurturing environment for those transitions to occur.
