Hello! My name is Anita Aasen and I am a social worker with 25 years plus of experience! Currently, I am licensed in the States of New York, Maine, Vermont, and Utah. My approach to therapy is holistic, person-centered, and humanistic. I believe in the resilience of the human spirit and see therapy as a great conduit for improvement. I am. well-versed in CBT, mindfulness, and the person-centered approach to therapy. My main areas of practice are grief work, stress and anxiety reduction, and depression!
My tone is down to earth. I am easygoing but can and will challenge negative thought patterns. I started thinking about becoming a therapist after I lost my mother as a teenager, I love what I do. I enjoy meeting different people from all over and helping them find solutions and navigating challenges.
