Hey there! My name is Anisha Holden, and I am a Licensed Marriage & Family therapist. I enjoy working with children/teens, adults, couples and families that are interested in working of differing backgrounds/cultures. Often, clients that are in the process of transitioning to a new stage in life are attracted to working with me. Whether it is becoming a spouse or parent, moving into a new position, graduating, or just simply changing from one state of being to another, my aim is to provide the necessary support to do so successfully. With any change, comes anxiety, depression, indecision, and so on.
When working with clients it is preferable to create a collaborative relationship, that allows clients to remain the experts over their own experiences and for me to simply provide assistance in resolving difficulties/issues presented as we navigate the path.
In line with creating a collaborative environment, typically I keep an informative yet conversational tone with clients. There are times when a more directive, gently "authoritative" voice/stance is required within our work and if it is complementary to their needs.
