The constant overwhelm causes you to struggle constantly, and it feels like peace is impossible. A voice in your head tells you to “feel your feelings,” but how do you do that without spiraling? On top of your inner chaos, the people in your life walk all over you without a care. You have been hearing a lot of talk of “setting boundaries,” but worry about pushing people away.
I know this all sounds confusing, scary, and overwhelming–to have to face yourself. The truth is, you’ve made it this far, and although it may feel scary to look inward, beyond the shadows is a light of strength within you. When we’ve been suffering alone, it helps to have a healing space that is safe enough to help you explore yourself.
Together, we will take a mind-body approach to support you in the present. I am trained in somatic therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy for trauma. This doesn’t mean that therapy won’t be hard at times (as this is where the growth happens), but I will be there every step of the way, supporting, guiding, and teaching you so you can become your own healer.
