Sometimes the hardest part about therapy and accepting help is not the therapy itself. It can actually be in the very first moments we meet: knowing you are in a safe space. Feeling comfortable. Viewing me, at first a stranger, as someone you can trust and open up to. We engage with new people and strangers daily, but how many of them do we confide in? How many times are we asked how we’re doing and we can’t bring ourselves to share the truth? “I’m barely coping with my depression.” “My anxiety is taking over my life.” “I have too much to deal with right now.” “Nobody understands.” I understand.
I am here to listen and to help you handle the pain, stress, pressure, and the first obstacle of finding a safe, relaxed environment. Your sessions with me will be free from judgment and assumptions. You will be invited to express your deepest (and maybe intimidating) feelings and concerns.
I became a therapist because I faced struggles and difficulties as a teen, and I experienced healing and hope with counseling and the very things I offer to you: empathy, adaptability to your needs, nurturing that will help you develop and implement coping skills, and a sincere dedication to your healing and wellbeing.
