My name is Angela Welch and I'm a licensed professional counselor in MD. I have 9 years practice in counseling, with an additional 15 years in the human services field. My practice helps clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and/or trauma manage symptoms through an attachment-based model, grounded in CBT and Reality Therapy. I also offer EMDR therapy.
I tend to be warm and down to earth. My approach is eclectic and tailored to each client. I am trained in EMDR to assist with managing traumatic memories and triggers. I also have training in the use of DBT skills to assist with emotion regulation. I believe in client-led sessions so therapy moves at the client's pace.
