I am a bilingual therapist (English and Spanish). I see therapy as a journey of self exploration where you can utilize strengths and skills that the person already has but is unaware of. Sometimes, self-exploration can be challenging; for that reason, I like to guide clients in their journey by honoring their autonomy and resiliency. "You can become the best version of yourself." My philosophy is that nobody knows you better than yourself.
Some of the areas that I focus on are diversity, LGBTQ+, men's issues, HIV, non-monogamous relationships including kinks, depression, anxiety, acculturation, and grief. I provide individual, couple's and family therapy in both English and Spanish. My approach to therapy is eclectic with a strong foundation in CBT and client centered.
I like to work with all types of clientele as one of my areas of interest is diversity and identity. I see clients as being in control of their own lives, and capable of making their own choices. Clients that work with me can find themselves in an environment where there is not right or wrong; but rather, what works for you.
